You can shoot salvage containers from your ship on planets with Salvageable Scrap to farm corvette parts. You can also add decorations like tentacles and plants using normal base building mode btw.

Maybe Moona can do Corvette quest first? As you need it for salvage contracts. Also with Corvette you can DIY big ship and make it look nice or funny
